I had a problem with my motorcycle and this analyzer helped me find the problem. It was with the battery not the charging system . I like that it tells you the charging rate when you are driving . The only thing I wish it had was a light so at night you could see the display. Nice to know what % of the battery charge it took to start the bike . WORKS GREAT

this works great, the only problem is you have to reset it at times by disconnecting one of the connections.....after the countdown it's fine again

In September, 2008 I attached the BB-SBM12 to the Optima battery (new in August, 2006) in my 2003 S-10 at which point the cranking health read 87%. Since then that value has dropped to 81%.

In May, 2009, I attached the BB-SBM12-PS to the Deka battery (new in August, 2008) in my 2004 Kawasaki Z1000... 92%. Now it's 78%.

Obviously, they're working! The Battery Bug is worth every penny. Though I haven't yet gotten to a point where the audible alarm would sound, there is no reason for me to believe it would not considering everything else works as advertised and with excellence.

I knew from pictures at the Argus Web site, there would be no room in the Z1000 cockpit for the Bug. Even if I did manage to cram it in some where, it wouldn't be very attractive. There was really no other place on the frame I could consider that would be practical (easy to view) or safe (away from chain, wheel) or stress free (engine/tranny areas). So I decided to use the Bug for what it is: a diagnostic instrument to be checked at convenient intervals and so it occupies the stash in my tail section. Just like my tire pressure gauge. I left enough slack in the wire to place the Bug on the seat while I arrange stuff in there and then just place it on top of the pile. If the battery does begin to go critical between visual checks of the Bug's readouts, an audible alarm sounds for 30 seconds after the engine is shut off. So keeping it tucked away as it is will be a logical strategy and, in fact, the same strategy as with the Bug mounted on the battery in my S-10 pickup.
